Let me make clear at the very outset - What I’m going to discuss here are some of the strategies I use.  It worked well for me. It worked for my friends - and I believe should work for you but I don’t guarantee.

I haven’t explained some terms here. If you don’t understand, please post comments.

Do I need a website for making money?

Not really … but I’m in a favor of having website. If you’re happy with few dollars - you don’t need website.  You could do it with free blogs provided at blogger.com or wordpress.com etc.  If your ultimate aim is to make atleast 1000 dollars a month - you need to have website. May be more and more websites but one website is good enough to start with.

The main reason for having website are:

(1) It establishes credibility.  It creats your image.
(2) Many people who are going to pay you don’t want to give their ads / products to promote unless you have established website.

If you remember, I’d shown you statistics of one of my friend who went online on December 25, 2006. As of today she hasn’t even completed 3 months but making good money online.

What she started with was a minimum investement of less than 10 dollars (around 450 Indian Rupees)

Here are the steps that we followed.

(1) Domain Research

We selected a good domain name in popular niche.

• Name less than 15 characters
• Avoid hyphens and numbers if possible
• I tend to select domain names with 3 words like WebOnlineBusiness.com
• All words MUST be the terms used frequently for web search and easy to remember.

(2) Domain Registration

Initially register with GoDaddy.Com . They’ve very good prices in the market. Godaddy offers ad supported web site with lot of space and bandwidth. I initially go ahead with revenue shared hosting.

(3) Developing websites

Generally I prefer my own program to automatically generate website for me.

In case I do it manually I make website with 10-12 pages. 4-5 pages I write myself. Other stuff I use public domain content or private label articles.

(4) Put ads and Promote Products

Even though website is new - if you have selected a good niche, promoted websites properly, you should be able to get money back and some profit within 2-3 months. I invest the profit in buying hosting plan that supports multiple hosting so  need not to share revenue with Godaddy. What I do is just pay for another domain registration and pay just the domain registration price and develop another website and put on the same server.

If you do it correctly and with a proper planning - this should lay good foundation for you.
